Woodlands residents walk to provide clean water for children around world

More than 60 people participated in the inaugural Global 6K for Water event in The Woodlands on May 6, joining approximately 27,000 participants worldwide with the goal of helping children gain access to clean water. More than $2,500 was raised through the event in The Woodlands, which will provide clean water to 50 children, said Matt Erkmann, local event organizer. Worldwide, more than 31,000 children will have access to clean water due to money raised globally through the registration fees from this month’s event.
