Here’s what you need to know to start your week in Central Austin: 1. Uber and Lyft are back Gov. Greg Abbott paved the way for ride-hailing giants Uber and Lyft to return to Austin this Memorial Day weekend after signing off on House Bill 100, which does away with local regulations, establishing statewide regulations instead. In Austin, that means fingerprinting is no longer necessary for drivers working for ride-hailing companies.
